PRAYER : Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the fifth respondent passed in Award No.IO/CHN/A/LI/0059/2016 - 2017 on 22.03.2017 and same was communicated on 24.03.2017 quash the same consequently directing the first respondent herein to pay the full matured value of the four LIC policies bearing Policy Nos.(1) 712591516, (2) 716812076, (3) 716701379 and (4) 717557485 taken by her husband, to the petitioner herein.

When the matter was taken up for hearing on the last occasion on 14.12.2021, the Registry was directed to print the name of the petitioner in the cause list and to list the matter on 16.12.2021 under the caption 'for dismissal'. Even today (i.e. 16.12.2021), petitioner has not appeared before this Court. It shows that the petitioner is not at all interested in prosecuting the case.
2. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed for nonprosecution. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition stands closed.
