forthwith as per G.O.(Ms) No.25 dated 23.02.2016 after considering the representation of the petitioner dated 20.04.2017 in accordance with law on merits expeditiously within a time frame as stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the respondents to pass suitable orders for notionally promoting him to the post of Record Assistant with effect from 02.03.2009 and for consequential benefits by considering his representation dated 20.04.2017.

2.The case of the petitioner is that he joined the service as Watchman cum Garden Maintainer on 22.08.1986 and retired as Record Assistant on 30.06.2015. The grievance of the petitioner is that he should have been promoted as Record Assistant with effect from 02.03.2009, but he was promoted belatedly vide order dated 25.06.2015. In this regard, he made representation to the respondents, however, the same was not considered. Hence, this writ petition.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that a direction may be given to the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 20.04.2017, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents raised no serious objection for this Court granting such relief.

5.In view of the above, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.04.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
