Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the issue involved in the writ petitions has become infructuous. In view of the subsequent amendment of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act No.31/2003, nothing further survives for consideration in this writ petition.

2. Recording the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the Writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
