This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.08.2025 and to pass final orders in respect of the disciplinary
proceedings initiated against the petitioner vide Na.Ka.No.D1/10746/2020.

4. The brief facts of the petitioner is that while the petitioner was working as an Assistant Engineer at Udhagamandalam, Nilgiris District during the years 2018-2020, the first respondent initiated disciplinary proceedings against him and a charge memo has also been issued. The petitioner also submitted an explanation and subsequently enquiry has also been conducted and thereafter the matter was forwarded to the 2nd respondent for passing final orders. The petitioner was subsequently promoted to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer and retired from service on 31.03.2025. It is the grievance of the petitioner that though he retired from service, the first respondent has withheld his retirement benefits, citing the pendency of the disciplinary proceedings. Hence, he made a representation on 06.08.2025 to the 2nd respondent, requesting
expeditious disposal of the disciplinary proceedings. However, the same has not been considered till date. Hence this Writ Petition.
