Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to cancel the illegal patta obtained by the 4 th, 5 th & 6 th respondents for the lands in Survey No.633/1B & 1A2 measuring to an extent of total 2601 sq.ft are situated at Othavadai Street, Block No.1, Madhavaram, Chennai - 600 051 on the light of enquiry conducted by the third respondent by proceeding bearing in Na.Ka.No.534/2018/A1 dated 23.02.2018 and pass appropriate orders thereon within a time frame that may be specified by this Court. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to cancel the patta obtained by the 4 th, 5 th & 6 th respondents for the 2/5

lands comprised in Survey No.633/1B & 1A2, measuring to an extent of total 2601 sq.ft, situated at Othavadai Street, Block No.1, Madhavaram, Chennai - 600 051 in the light of enquiry conducted by the third respondent by the proceedings dated 23.02.2018.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the second respondent is directed to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 12.01.2018, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
