ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) The appeal on hand has been instituted challenging the Writ order dated 18.09.2024 passed in W.P.No.26866 of 2024.

The police clearance certificate has not been issued to the appellant, enabling him to get visa to travel abroad. 3.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that a criminal case was registered against the appellant in FIR.No.118 of 2020 by Mangalampettai Police Station. However, it is brought to the notice of this Court that the said FIR has been quashed by the High Court in Crl.O.P.No.3882

of 2025 dated 14.02.2025.

Since the Additional Public Prosecutor informed this Court that the criminal case was taken on file in C.C.No.26 of 2025, this Court requested the learned Judicial Magistrate to provide information. Learned Judicial Magistrate No.2, Virudhachalam informed the Registry, High Court that recording the order of the High Court in Crl.O.P.No.3882 of 2025, the criminal case was closed. That being so, the appellant is at liberty to pursue his application before the competent authority and if there is no impediment for issuing police clearance certificate, the same is to considered by the respondents. 5.
