ORDER

This Writ Petition have been filed by the petitioners to direct the 2nd respondent, namely the Tahsildar, Ulundurpet Taluk Office, Ulundurpet Taluk, Kallakuruchi District - 606 107 to issue a patta to the name of the petitioner to the land comprising Survey No.58, to an extent of 1.59 Acres situated at Parinthal Village, Ulundurpet Taluk, Kallakurichi District - 606 305 within a reasonable period as may be fixed by this Court.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the aforesaid property originally belongs to his father, who was doing cultivation. After the demise of the petitioner's father, the petitioner inherited the above said property and is in possession and enjoyment of the same. Thereafter, the petitioner gave an application dated 11.10.2022 to the 2nd respondent for issuance of patta in his favour. However, till date, petitioners appeal was not considered. Hence, the present Writ Petition. 3.Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that it would suffice Page No.2 of 5

if this Court issues direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.10.2022 and pass orders on the same within a particular time frame fixed by this Court. 4.Mr.U.Bharanidharan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that if any direction is given by this Court, the same will be complied with.

5.In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.10.2022, on merits and in accordance with law after providing opportunity to the petitioner and the private respondents and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
