The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the 2nd respondent to give police protection to the petitioner's life and to his property comprised in T.S.No.10/1, situated in Ward E, Block 9, Sooramangalam Main Road, Pallpatty Village, Salem Taluk, Salem Dstrict.

2. Despite repeated adjournments, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

3. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

4. Today when the petition came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents police, on instructions, would submit that in respect of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, he has not submitted any representation to the respondents police. Therefore, in the absence of the representation, this Court cannot give any direction to the respondents police to provide police protection.

With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
