The prayer sought for in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to forthwith consider the application of the petitioner dated 12.05.2022 for correction of the measurement and extent of petitioner's property comprised in Plot No.186 & 187 of Chandraprabhu Vegetarian Village, comprised in Survey No.158/1F, 158/1G2, 162/2P and 161 of Puzhal Village, Ambattur Taluk, presently Madhavaram Taluk, Chennai District admeasuring 3600 sq.ft. in patta and other revenue records in a time bound manner in accordance with law.

In respect of land at S.Nos.158/1F, 158/1G2, 162/2F at Puzhal Village, patta has been issued to the petitioner in Patta No.17428, where, instead of mentioning total extent of the land 0.03.5 Ares, it has been mentioned as 0.03.0 Ares. Therefore, in order to rectify the said mistake and to make the correction in the patta, the petitioner has given a representation on 12.05.2022 to the 1st respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer who since has not considered the same and it has been kept pending, he has 2/5

approached this Court by filing the present writ petition.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for both sides. 4.Mrs.N.Senthil Selvi, learned Government Advocate would submit that, the representation of the petitioner to that effect dated 12.05.2022 would be considered and orders would be passed thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following orders:

That there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.05.2022 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
