O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the third respondent to file the First Information Report and to investigate the matter and file final report in C.M.P.No.2357 of 2023 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.I at Thiruvallur.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the official respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. It is submitted by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that F.I.R has already been registered. It is seen that the petitioner has given the complaint before the respondents on 06.02.2023, whereas, F.I.R has been registered only on 04.11.2024 nearly after 1 1⁄2 years. This type of attitude of the respondent police is highly deprecated. Once the

complaint is received, the respondent police should follow the procedures in the manner known to law. If it is necessary, they have to conduct preliminary enquiry and thereafter register the F.I.R. In future, if they fail to follow the said procedures, they would face the consequences by court of law.
