WMP.Nos.31474, 31484 & 31229 of 2022 in WP.Nos.14548, 14550 & 14549 of 2004 G.CHANDRASEKHARAN.J., These petitions have been filed praying (i) to condone the delay of 445 days in filing the restoration petition to set aside the order of dismissal for non-prosecution in WP No.14550 of 2004, (ii) to condone the delay of 445 days in filing the restoration petition to set aside the order of dismissal for non-prosecution made in WP.No.14548 of 2004 dated 19.09.2019, (iii)to condone the delay of 1159 days in filing the restoration petition to set aside the order of dismissal for non-prosecution in WP No.14549 of 2004 respectively.

2.Heard Mr.D.Veerasekaran, learned counsel for the petitioners. 3.This Court, on 19.01.2024, directed the Registry to print the name of the first respondent in the cause list. Despite the name of the first respondent has been printed in the cause list, there is no representation on behalf of the first respondent.

G.CHANDRASEKHARAN.J., dn 4.Considering submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners and the reasons mentioned in the affidavits filed in support of the respective petitions, that due to Covid-19 Pandemic, the normal functioning of the State was affected and a large number of files in the petitioners' office were piled up due to lack of proper functioning, which caused the delay in filing the respective petitions, this Court feels it appropriate to allow these petitions.

5.Accordingly, these miscellaneous petitions are allowed. Registry is directed to number the respective petitions, if they are otherwise in order and list the same in regular course.
