The prayer sought for in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to take action on the petitioner's representation dated 25.10.2021.
2. In respect of property i.e. house site in S.No.73/1, present Village S.No.142/22 to the extent of 0.30 cent, the petitioner had given a representation to the respondents for issuance of patta as the said land belongs to the petitioner's family since the petitioner's father had started enjoying the property as Gramanatham for several years and thereafter it was inherited by the petitioner and since the said representation given to the respondents has not been considered so far and the District Collector who is empowered to decide the same has not decided, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.
3. Heard Mr.R.Vijayaraghaven, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.P.Muruganraja, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
4. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents would 2/4
submit that, the request of the petitioner has to be considered and decided only by the 1st respondent/District Collector and he would do the same on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.
5. Considering the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate for the respondents, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following orders:
That there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent/ District Collector to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.10.2021 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
