..Respondent(s) Prayer: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue patta in petitioner's name by restoring the original classification of petitioner's lands in present S.F.No.799, corresponding to old S.F.No.557/2 bearing old Patta No.133 Bailnadu Village, Kollimalai Taluk, Namakkal District by considering petitioner's representation dated 11.02.2019 and the proceedings of the 1st respondent dated 29.04.2019 in Na.Ka.No.736/2019 (O1), and proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 27.5.2019 in O.Mu.No.2298/2019/A6. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.02.2019.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petitioner has given a representation dated 11.02.2019 to enter petitioner's name in patta by restoring the original classification of petitioner's lands in respect of present S.F.No.799, corresponding to old S.F.No.557/2 bearing old Patta No.133 Bailnadu Village, Kollimalai Taluk, Namakkal District. However, the said representation was not at all considered by the respondents, as on date. Hence, this petition.

3. In reply, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 11.02.2019 will be disposed of by the respondents within a period of 6 weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 11.02.2019, by considering the petitioner's possession in the said land for carrying out agricultural work and patta issued to his predecessor, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No cost. List the case on 01.06.2026 under the caption "For Reporting Compliance".
