Crl.O.P.No.24427 of 2023 Crl.O.P.No.24427 of 2023 C.V.KARTHIKEYAN , J.

The petitioner/A1 in C.C.No.574 of 2023 seeks bail. The said Calender Case is now pending before the Principal Special Judge for NDPS and EC Act Cases at Chennai.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the petitioner was found in possession of 2.300 kgs of ganja and all the four accused have been taken into custody. He also stated that the petitioner has been in custody for a considerable period of time. But however, it is seen that in the Court, where the trial is to take place, the petitioners have not engaged an advocate to proceed with their case and the matter is now listed for engaging counsel.

3. At this stage, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. Let at least the charges be framed and thereafter, if there is any change in circumstance, the petition seeking bail can be considered. 20.10.2023 ata https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
