Application Nos.5407 and 5408 of 2024 G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN, J.

These applications have been filed under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking for extension of time for the arbitrator to pass an arbitral award. Admittedly, in both the cases, the arbitration is pending before the arbitrator in respect of the dispute between the applicant and the respondent. The applicant seeks for further time to pronounce the arbitral award.

This Court is also satisfied with the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of these applications.

Accordingly, these applications are allowed as prayed for by directing the arbitrator to complete the arbitration proceedings within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
