Respondents in both W.Ps Common Prayer : Writ Petitions are filed under Article 226 of the Constitution praying to issue a Writ of Declaration, declaring that passing of Teachers eligibility Test is not applicable to the petitioners, that the vacancy was arose on 01.06.2010, recruitment process started as early as on 25.07.2010 and 08.07.2011, when the 5th respondent school passed resolution and requested permission to fill up the vacant post of Secondary Grade Teacher and the Assistant Elementary Educational officer recommended for filling up the vacant post by letter dated 04.10.2011, prior to issuance of G.O.Ms. No. 181, school education, dated 15.11.2011, and consequentially direct the respondents to approve the appointment of the petitioner permanently by taking into consideration of the representation of the petitioner dated 07.01.2023 and through lawyer notice dated 20.01.2023 and the 5th respondent school dated 21.10.2023 and 25.05.2023. COMMON ORDER These Writ Petitions have been filed seeking a declaration that passing of Teachers eligibility Test is not applicable to the petitioners, since the vacancy arose on 01.06.2010 and the recruitment process started as early as on 25.07.20210 & 08.07.2011, when the 5th respondent school passed resolutions and requested permission to fill up the vacant post of Secondary Grade Teacher and the Assistant Elementary Educational Officer recommended for filling up the vacant post by letter dated 04.10.2011, prior to the issuance of G.O.Ms. No. 181, School Education, dated 15.11.2011 and consequentially direct the respondents to approve their appointments on a permanent basis by taking into consideration of the representation submitted by the petitioners dated 07.01.2023, the lawyer's notice dated 20.01.2023 and the communications of the 5th respondent School dated 21.10.2023 and 25.05.2023.
2.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 submitted that the issue with regard to the requirement of TNTET qualification for teachers is pending before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in a Civil Appeal No.1385 of 2025 and that interim orders have also been passed on 01.09.2025.

3.In view of the order dated 01.09.2025 passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Civil Appeal No.1385 of 2025, the prayer sought for in this writ petition cannot be granted. Thus, the writ petitions are devoid of merits and are liable to be dismissed. However, the petitioners are at liberty to seek extension of time to clear the Teachers Eligibility Test, as declared by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. 4.In the result, both the Writ Petitions stand dismissed.
