ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the first and second respondents to give permission to conduct cultural programme of Adal Padal on 25.12.2022 at 6.00 PM to 11.00 PM at "Sri Selvakumarasamy & Kuppannasamy Temple festival" Velampalayam Village, Velampalayam Post, Modakurichi Taluk, Erode District by consider and pass orders on the representation dated 18.11.2022 made by the petitioner within the time frame as may be fixed by this Court.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in order to conduct cultural programme on 25.12.2022 between 06.00 pm to 11.00 pm, in the temple festival at "Sri Selvakumarasamy & Kuppannasamy Temple festival" Velampalayam Village, Velampalayam Post, Modakurichi Taluk, Erode District, the petitioner has sent a representation, dated 18.11.2022 to the respondent. But, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. The learned Government Advocate (crl.side), appearing for the respondents submitted that the second respondent police has received the representation of the petitioner and the same is pending for consideration. Page No.2 of 4
4. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.
5. It is brought to the notice of this Court that the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, had issued a circular memorandum in Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019, along with instructions to the Inspectors of Police throughout Tamil Nadu for consideration of applications seeking permission for conducting cultural programme. Therefore, in view of the detailed circular and guidelines issued by the Director General of Police, the respondent police is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 18.11.2022 and pass suitable orders based on the above said circular.
