ORDER

This Suo Motu case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.)No.618 of 2025.

2. The occurrence is of the year 2019 and now only the summons was served and the matter is posted for questioning. The allegation in this case is that, all these accused joined together and abused the Police who went on rounds. It can be seen that there are no other antecedents as against the Page No.1 of 3

accused persons.

3. Considering the nature of allegation and that the matter is pending from the year 2019, any further continuing of the case would impinge upon their right to speedy trial and accordingly, the case in STC.No.363 of 2020 on the file of Judicial Magistrate No.1, Erode Taluk, Erode stands quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer case is disposed of.

01.09.2025 rap electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary. Further, the Court below is directed to dispatch the copy of this order to all concerned.
