The petitioner herein seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.533 of 2023 registered by the respondent Police for the offences under Sections 5, 7(3) of Lotteries Regulation Act, 1998 and Section 420 of IPC.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that he has been falsely implicated as an accused in this case. He is innocent. Thus, he seeks bail to the petitioner.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) states that there are four previous cases on similar in nature against the petitioner are pending. Thus, he prays for dismissal of this petition.

4. This Court is of the view that investigation will have to be done relating to the source of the lottery tickets. Therefore, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
