ORDER
This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025.
2. This case is registered for alleged offence under Sections 430 and 379 of the Indian Penal Code. The incident occurred on 17.11.2018. The allegation in this case is that the accused stole sand worth of Rs.50/- at that time. It is stated that the accused have been facing the proceedings from the year 2018. Considering the nature of allegation, context of the case, and that Page No.1 of 3
the accused have been facing the proceedings from the year 2018, any further continuing of the proceedings would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial.
3. Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.89 of 2019 of District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Uthiramerur Taluk, Kancheepuram, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.
02.09.2025 grs electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
