This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Judicial Magistrate - I, Puducherry, to dispose of the case in M.C.No.6 of 2014 within the time frame.

2.A Larger Bench of this Court, in Arul Daniel vs. Suganya reported in (2022) 4 MLJ (Crl) 561 (FB) held that a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C is not maintainable as against the proceedings under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. In view of the said Judgment, the above petition is not maintainable. Hence, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 3.However, it is open to the petitioner to pursue other remedies that are available to her in law.
