ORDER

A memo is filed by Ms.Harini Muruganandam, learned counsel on record, to the effect that, pending writ petition the second respondent, the Speaker of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly has acceded to the request of the petitioner for change in allocation of seats in the Assembly by recognizing Thiru.R.B.Udhayakumar as the Deputy Leader of the Opposition and allotting the seat next to the petitioner.

2. With this, the petitioner finds no reason to pursue this writ petition any further as his prayer stands achieved and there is a submission that the petitioner wishes to withdraw the same.

3. Recording the above, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 20.02.2024 Index:Yes/No ssm 2/4
