ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025.

2. This case is registered for alleged offences under Sections 341, 294(b) and 324 of the Indian Penal Code. The incident occurred on 29.08.2021. The allegation in this case is that at the time of working in a particular for the construction work, a conflict arose and the de facto complainant is not at all present in the address and the accused is also not Page No.1 of 3

served summons till date. In view thereof, even if, on a future date, summons are served to the accused and the accused is brought to face the trial, it would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial.

3. Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.9264 of 2021 of XIII Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore Taluk, Chennai, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.

02.09.2025 grs electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary. Further, the Court below is directed to dispatch the copy of this order to all concerned.
