The petitioners/A1 & A2 who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 27.09.2023 registered by the respondent Police for the offences under Sections 4(1)(aaa) r/w 4(1-A)ii of TNP Act and Sections 6 and 7 of TNRS Rule, 2000, in Crime No.662 of 2023, seek bail. 2.It is stated that A1 was found in possession of 165 litres of ID arrack during inspection and thereafter, on his confession, from the office of A2, further 1650 litres of arrack were seized. 3.It is also seen that a further confession from A3, who is not before this Court, 4026 litres of rectified spirit were seized. The total rectified spirit seized was 5841 litres.

4.It is stated by the respondent that they purchased the arrack from Andhra Pradesh for doing retail sales in the State of Tamil Nadu. There are previous cases against the petitioners.
