ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025.

2. This case is registered for alleged offences under Sections 454 and 511 of the Indian Penal Code. The incident occurred on 13.01.2020. The allegation in this case is that the accused attempted to enter into the house of the de facto complainant and committed theft and was caught red handed. It is stated that no previous case is there against the accused. The case is pending Page No.1 of 3

at the summons stage itself from the year 2020. Considering the factual matrix, the context of the case, the background of the accused, the reason for his absence at his place of residence, and the submission made that, despite best efforts, the summons could not be served, it is clear that even if the accused faces trial, no useful purpose would be served.

3. Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.17 of 2020 of District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Uthiramerur Taluk, Kancheepuram, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.

02.09.2025 grs electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary. Further, the Court below is directed to dispatch the copy of this order to all concerned.
