Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records in Memo No.656/BCDFGISSSV/2019 passed by the second respondent on 09.10.2019 on the file of the second respondent and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondent to produce Ajithkumar, son of Selvam, aged about 25 years, before this Court, who now detained in Central Prison, Puzhal-II and set him at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of this Court was made by R.SUBBIAH,J.) Petitioner is the mother of the detenu, namely, Ajithkumar, S/o.Selvam, aged 25 years, who has been branded as a "Drug Offender" under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and detained under orders of the second respondent passed in Memo No.656/BCDFGISSSV/2019 dated 09.10.2019. Such order is under challenge herein.

2.Learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the detention order passed by the second respondent as against the son of the petitioner dated 09.10.2019 has been revoked by the Government in G.O.Rt.No.4900, dated 29.11.2019 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3.In view of the above, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed, as it has become infructuous.
