ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025.

2. This case is registered for alleged offences under Sections 188, 270, 271 and 505(i)(b) of the Indian Penal Code. The incident occurred on 26.03.2020. The allegation in this case is that the accused gave some wrong information to the Police Control number in order to trace out his wife in violation of the lock down regulations. Considering the factual matrix, the context of the case, the background of the accused, the reason for his absence Page No.1 of 3

at his place of residence, and the submission made that, despite best efforts, the summons could not be served from the year 2020, it is clear that even if the accused faces trial, no useful purpose would be served.

3. Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.129 of 2021 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.3, Erode Taluk, Erode, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.

02.09.2025 grs electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary. Further, the Court below is directed to dispatch the copy of this order to all concerned.
