ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu.W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.

This Case in Cr.No.507 of 2019 is registered for alleged offences under Sections 447, 294(b), 323, 506(i) of Indian Penal Code. The defacto complainant is present and submits that he does not want to pursue the matter any further. It is also submitted that the accused is also mentally ill and the matter is pending for service of summons. In view thereof, any further service Page No.1 of 3

of summon would impinge upon a right to speedy trial of the accused. Due to passage of time, meaningful trial is not possible and no useful purpose will be served.

Accordingly, the proceedings in C.C.No.141 of 2021 of Judicial Magistrate Court, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram is quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.

09.09.2025 veda electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
