This application has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent/ Official Trustee of Tamil Nadu to pay a sum of Rs.14,71,000/- as scholarship towards the applicant's I, II, III and IV year B.Tech. (Nano Technology) in faculty of Engineering and Technology, SRM University, Kattankulathur, Kancheepuram District, from and out of the estate of the applicant's great grandfather C.Audikesavalu Naidu.

Today, when the application is taken up for consideration, the learned Administrator General and Official Trustee of Tamil Nadu (AG&OT) submitted that the said C.Audikesavalu Naidu had executed a Will and Codicil dated 22.04.1935 and 24.05.1939, respectively, in which, the AG&OT was appointed as Executor and the estate of the said C.Audikesavalu Naidu is being administered by him. As per clause 26 of the said Will, preference being given to the descendants and relations of C.Audikesavalu Naidu, for awarding scholarships to help the deserving students appearing for I.C.S., Engineering, Medical, Industrial or Electrical study on the lines run by Tata's Scholarship Fund. For availing the said scholarship, the applicant has filed this application. It is further stated that the fund available is Rs.58,000/- and hence, the claim of the applicant cannot be straightaway considered.

gya purpose and the applicant is now inclined to receive the amount of Rs.50,000/- and for future events, any enhancement, if possible, shall be considered by the AG&OT according to the entitlement of the applicant.

4. Recording the above submission of the learned counsel appearing for the applicant, the learned AG&OT is permitted to pay a sum of Rs.50,000/- to the applicant towards scholarship.
