This matter is placed before this Court seeking extension of time to conclude the proceedings in C.P.No.15 of 2001 and C.P.No.11 of 2016 on the file of the Presiding Officer, Labour Court, Cuddalore.

2. This Court vide order 09.10.2018 in the above Writ Petition had directed the Presiding Officer, District Labour Court, Cuddalore to dispose of both the Claim Petitions in C.P.No.15 of 2001 and C.P.No.11 of 2016, on or before 31.12.2018.

3. As the Claim Petitions could not be disposed of within the time stipulated, extension of time was sought by the Presiding Officer, Labour Court, Cuddalore on two occasions. This is the third time the Presiding Officer, Labour Court, Cuddalore has sought for extension of time.

4. This Court finally grants a month's time to conclude the proceedings in C.P.No.15 of 2001 and C.P.No.11 of 2016 on the file of the Presiding Officer, Labour Court, Cuddalore.

5. The Presiding Officer, Labour Court, Cuddalore, is expected to decide the matter on a day-to-day basis without adjourning the matter beyond two working days at any point of time, by following Rule 34(9) of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Disputes Rules, 1958 and shall proceed to dispose of the matter pending before the said forum.
