Vs Mrs.R.Brinda Devi, I.A.S., The District Collector, Salem & District, Salem.

...Respondent

Prayer: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act, to punish the respondent herein for willfully disobeying of the order of this Court passed in W.P.No.15422 of 2023 dated 29.11.2023. For Petitioner : Mr.M.Babu For Respondent : Mrs.V.Yamuna Devi Special Government Pleader 1/4

ORDER

The learned Special Government Pleader submitted that as against the order passed in W.P.No.15422 of 2023, a Writ Appeal in W.A.No.992 of 2025 was preferred, wherein the Hon'ble Division Bench has admitted the writ appeal.

2.When the Hon'ble Division Bench has taken cognizance of the appeal and has proceeded with it, it would not be appropriate for this Court to parallelly proceed with the Contempt Petition. However, if liberty is granted to the petitioner to workout her remedies, after final orders are passed in the Writ Appeal, a balance can be struck. 3.Accordingly, the Contempt Petition stands closed with liberty to the petitioner to workout her remedies subject to the outcome of the Writ Appeal. Consequently, connected sub application is closed. 04.04.2025 Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order hvk 2/4
