ORDER

This writ petition is filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 19.08.2019 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court for granting pension to the petitioner.

2.By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

3.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's wife namely R.Kalaiselvi was working as a Headmaster at Government Boys' Higher Secondary School, Jolarpettai and was retired from service on 31.05.2013. Pension was paid through the Sub-Treasury, Tirupattur vide P.P.O.No.R.1011629-EDG. She died on 11.10.2016 nominating the petitioner herein to receive the terminal benefits and pension. application to the second respondent, with necessary documents for grant of pension on 09.01.2017. The second respondent forwarded the same to the first respondent on 21.03.2017. Again the petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 19.08.2019. Since no action has been taken on the petitioner's representation, this writ petition came to be filed.

4.The learned Government Advocate submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered within a period of 12 weeks.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue direction to the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 19.08.2019, if not disposed already, within a period of twelve

(12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
