2. This case is registered for alleged offences under Section 379 of IPC, 1860. The incident occurred on 16.01.2022. The allegation in this case is that Page No.1 of 3

100 meters of aluminum wire was stolen by the accused. It is stated that the accused were arrested and released on bail.

3. Considering the nature of the allegations, context of the case, the antecedents of the accused, and the case is pending from the year 2022, it is evident that even if the accused is brought to face trial, it would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial. Due to the passage of time, a meaningful trial is unlikely, and no useful purpose would be served.

4. Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.68 of 2022 on the file of Judicial Magistrate Court No.II, Kancheepuram Taluk, Kancheepuram, stands quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer case is disposed of. 03.09.2025 jd The Court below is directed to dispatch the copy of this order to all concerned.
