DHANABAL, J The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 and Sections 85, 115(2) and 351(2)(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, (BNS), in Crime No. Not Known on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.
2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petition enquiry is pending in C.S.R.No.76 of 2024; that no case has been registered against these petitioners; that only based on the complaint given by the de-facto complainant, they made enquiry; that they will complete the enquiry as early as possible in accordance with the law; and that during the investigation, they have not harassed the petitioner.
3. Recording the submissions of the learned Government Advocate, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
