Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents herein from to lay any sort of construction in the guise of water tank in petitioners' property situated at No.54, Chitharkadu Village, Cheyyur Taluk, Kancheepuram District bearing Old Survey No.187/4 part, New Survey No.269/2 admeasuring to an extent of 949 square metres thereby interfering with the peaceful possession of the petitioners over their property.

This Writ Petition has been filed restraining the respondents from putting up any construction in the guise of water tank in petitioners' property situated at No.54, Chitharkadu Village, Cheyyur Taluk, Kancheepuram District bearing Old Survey No.187/4 part, New Survey No.269/2 admeasuring to an extent of 949 square metres thereby interfering with the peaceful possession of the petitioners over their property.

Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1, 3 to 5, on instructions would submit that they will measure the property and if it is found that it is the petitioners' private property, they will not make any construction. The said submission is recorded.
