O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register a case based on the complaint of the petitioner dated 28.02.2022 and to investigate the case.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's son by name Perumal Raja is a convicted accused and he is now confined in Central Jail, Puducherry; from the jail, he instigated his wife Jothi Priya to abduct the petitioner and grab her property; on one occasion, the petitioner was even attacked by Jothi Priya and her men and in view of that, she had given a complaint to the second respondent on 28.02.2022; so far no action has been taken by the respondent police. Hence, the petitioner had sent the complaint to the first respondent on 10.08.2022, even in that complaint also, no action has been taken so far.

4. The learned Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's son is in Central Prison, 2/4

Puducherry; due to jurisdictional confusion, the matter is pending; if two weeks time is granted, the enquiry will be completed.

5. Considering the submission made by the learned Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) and the petitioner submission that she apprehends threat to her life, the respondents are directed to complete the enquiry within a period of two weeks and do the needful in accordance with law.

6. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
