The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 18.03.2022 at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 22(a), 22(c), 29(1) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and Sections 465, 468, 472 of IPC in Crime No.81 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 17.03.2022 at about 9.00 a.m. when one of the accused was selling banned drugs at Kodambakkam Trustpuram Play Ground, the respondent police arrested the accused and recovered 250 banned drug pills. Based on the information from that accused, the petitioner/A1 and other accused were arrested. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that there are totally six accused involved in the alleged offence, wherein the petitioner has been arrayed as A1. He would further submit that the petitioner is no way connected with the alleged offence and a false case

has been foisted against her. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of Nitravet - 10 mg (150 tablets) and Tydol-100 mg (100 tablets). Though, they possessed separately of certain quantities, in total, all possessed contraband are commercial quantity. He would further submit that this is the fifth bail petition filed by the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the serious nature of offence committed by petitioner and this Court had dismissed the earlier petitions filed by the petitioner and that there is no change of circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 01.12.2022 mn
