ORDER

Heard Mr.M.Muruganantham, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.P.Anandakumar, learned Government Advocate for R1 to R3 and Ms.Indumathy Venkatesh, learned counsel for R4 / contesting respondent.

The prayer is for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.03.2015. The petitioner has reiterated there the same relief as sought for before me, for allotment and handing over of a flat constructed for the benefit of residents of Rajivgandhi Nagar as alternative accommodation on par with other residents, who have been displaced from huts in Rajivgandhi Nagar.

Ms.Indhumathy Venkatesh, would accede to receipt of the representation but has no answer when the Court asks why it has been kept pending for eight years.

Mandamus is thus issued to R4 to hear the petitioner, for which purpose, the petitioner will appear before R4 on Monday 2/4

i.e., 27.11.2023 at 10.30 am without expecting any notice in this regard. After hearing the petitioner and considering relevant documents, if any, produced by him, R1 shall take a decision on the representation of the petitioner dated 15.03.2015 within a period of four weeks i.e., on or before 20.12.2023, in accordance with law. 5.
