This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the charge-sheet in C.C.No.2510 of 2012 on the file of the learned XIII Metropolitan Magistrate Court at Egmore, Chennai against the petitioner under the ground of compromise.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that compromise talks are going on between the petitioner and the second respondent/de-facto complainant for withdrawing the F.I.R. in Crime No.585 of 2012. Therefore, the learned counsel for petitioner prays to quash the chargesheet in C.C.No.2510 of 2012 on the file of the learned XIII Metropolitan Magistrate Court at Egmore, Chennai.

On a perusal of the records and also the statement of witnesses, it is seen that, prima-facie, there are sufficient materials to proceed with the case against the petitioner and therefore, whatever the grounds taken by the petitioner for quashing the charges, it is only a matter for trial and 2/4

all the points raised by the petitioner herein have to be agitated before the trial Court during the trial.

4. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
