Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to pass orders for stepping up of scale of pay of petitioner on par with his junior Tmt.P.Santhi, Head Master, Government High School, based on the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 27.12.2018 by calling for relevant records within a time frame to be fixed by this Court with consequential and attendant benefits.

Writ Petition is filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to pass orders for stepping up of scale of pay of petitioner on par with his junior

Tmt.P.Santhi, Head Master, Government High School, based on the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 27.12.2018 by calling for relevant records within a time frame to be fixed by this Court with consequential and attendant benefits.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 3.The case of the petitioner is that he was initially appointed as B.T. Assistant in the year 1997 and after regularisation, promoted as P.G. Assistant in the year 2007 and further promoted as High School Headmaster in the year 2012. The petitioner has made a representation dated 27.12.2018 to the 3rd respondent seeking revision of pay anomaly and for stepping up the scale of pay on par with his junior. However, the petitioner's representation was not considered by the respondents till date. Hence this writ petition.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.12.2018 and pass appropriate orders within the reasonable time.

5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court hereby directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.12.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The writ petition is disposed of on the above terms. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
