Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, 1/5

to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent herein to cancel the oral suspension and thereby to reinstate the petitioner into service with all consequential monetary and service benefits pertaining to the proceedings in Na.Ka.A4-9197-2013, dated 12.02.2013 passed by the District Manager, TASMAC, Thiruvallur Taluk and District, the 3rd respondent herein.

ORDER

By consent of both the parties, this writ petition has been taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Mr.K.Balakrishnan, learned Standing counsel accepts notice for the respondents.

3. This petitioner is aggrieved by the suspension order dated 12.02.2013 issued to him. According to him, till date, despite his representations seeking for revocation of the suspension order, the same has not been considered by the respondents. The last such representation was given on 06.08.2021. Since the representations have not been considered till date, he has filed this writ petition.

Mr.K.Balakrishnan, learned Standing counsel for the respondents.

5. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if a direction is issued to them to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.08.2021 seeking for revocation of the suspension order dated 12.02.2013 on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the 1st respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 06.08.2021 seeking for revocation of the suspension order dated 12.02.2013 issued to him, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
