Mr.T.K.Saravanan Additional Government Pelader COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed seeking to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioners' representations dated 23.08.2024, whereby to pay suitable compensation along with interest within a stipulated period of time for the acquisition proceedings in Plot Nos.39, 40 & 41, Survey Nos.300/1 and 300/2 an extent of 600 sq.ft pursuant to the proceedings in GO. No.571 dated 23.11.2022, acquired for the development of the scheme by the 4th respondent. 2.Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners had purchased the properties morefully described in the prayer to this writ
petition from one Mangai W/o.Sampath vide registered sale deeds dated 27.09.2019 & 16.10.2019. When the petitioners applied for online patta in respect of the aforesaid properties, the same was rejected citing the reason that the subject properties are under the acquisition proceedings. However, the petitioners were not served with any acquisition proceedings. The proceedings were only served to the petitioners' vendor. Hence, the petitioners made a representations dated 23.08.2024 to the respondents seeking to complete the acquisition proceedings and pay the suitable compensation and damages to the petitioners herein. Even then, the petitioners were not served with any notice. Hence, the present writ petitions have been filed. 3.
Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representations of the petitioners dated 23.08.2024 will be considered and the same will be disposed of as expeditiously as possible. 4.Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners and in view of the limited prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 23.08.2024, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunities to the petitioner. Such exercise shall be carried out by the 3rd respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the aforesaid direction, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
