Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, pleased to issue Writ of Mandamus to the direct the respondents not to interfere with the running of restaurant in the name of "Maison Restaurant Pvt Ltd" along with hookah service in New No.23, Old No.13, Khader Nawazkhan Road, Nungambakkam except in accordance with law.

Writ Petition is filed seeking Mandamus to direct the respondent not to interfere in the running of restaurant in the name of Maison Restaurant Pct. Ltd along with hookah service in New No.23, Old No.13, Khader Nawazkhan Road, Nungambakkam.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that, under the garb of providing Hookah Service, prohibited substances are distributed to the customers. Therefore, it is necessary for the Police to have a vigil over the activity of the petitioner restaurant. 2/4

3. In the light of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), this Writ Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.

However, dismissal of the petition shall not stand in the way of the petitioner herein to run the Restaurant in accordance with law and if any herbal hookah service to be provided, it must be with prior declaration and permission from the respondent police about the substances likely to be served to the customers.
