Respondent PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the learned Juvenile Justice Board, Namakkal to consider the petitioner's son namely Gowtham, aged 17 years, bail application in Crime No.4 of 2017 on the file of the respondent police on the same day for his surrender.

ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this Criminal Original Petition on behalf of her son seeking to issue a direction to the learned Juvenile Justice Board, Namakkal to consider her son

namely Gowtham, aged 17 years, bail application in Crime No.4 of 2017 on the file of the respondent police on the same day for his surrender.

2. It is seen that the petitioner's son has been implicated for the offence under Sections 4 & 5 of Protection of children From Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), 2012. The present petition is for direction to consider the petitioner's son bail application on the same day.

3. In view of the limited prayer sought for, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the petitioner's son is granted liberty to surrender before the concerned Juvenile Justice Board and on such surrender, Juvenile Justice Board, Namakkal shall consider the bail application in Crime No.4 of 2017 preferably on the same day and pass appropriate orders on his own merits.

4. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition stands Allowed.
