ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the notice issued by the second respondent dated 01.10.2024. 2.

Heard, the learned counsel appearing on either side. 3.

It is seen that the petitioner is the elected President of Nadupatty Panchayat, Vennandur Block, Rasipuram Taluk, Namakkal District. While being so, on certain allegations, enquiry was conducted and proceedings under Section 205 of Tamilnadu Panchayat Act was initiated as against the petitioner, in pursuant to the same, the petitioner was served with notice dated 01.10.2024, which is impugned in this writ petition, calling him to appear for enquiry on 09.10.2024. the petitioner appeared and requested time of 15 days to submit explanation. Therefore, the said notice has now become infructuous. That apart, now the proceedings is pending on the file of the first respondent to pass final orders.

In view of the above, this Court finds no infirmity or illegality in the impugned notice issued to the petitioner dated 01.10.2024. As such, this writ petition is devoid of merits and the same is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
