Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ in the nature of Writ of Mandamus or any other Writ or order or direction directing the respondents to send the petitioner for training to the post of Veterinary Inspector by considering the petitioner's representation dated 21.10.2019.

O R D E R

1.This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to send the petitioner for training to the post of Veterinary Inspector by considering the petitioner's representation dated 21.10.2019.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 1/3

3.According to the petitioner, he served as an Army Man in Indian Army for the past 15 years and retired. Thereafter, he was selected and appointed as Veterinary Assistant in Veterinary Pharmacy at Konganapuram, Omalur, Salem by the 3rd respondent vide his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.4366/A/2008 dated 22.05.2008. For promotion to the post of Veterinary Inspector, the incumbent has to undergo training and but his name was not found in the list of the selected persons for the training. From then onwards, the petitioner has been excepting that he would be sent for training but till date he was not sent for training. In such circumstances, the petitioner made a representation on 21.10.2019 to the respondents requesting them to sent him for training. Since, no action is forthcoming, despite his representation, the petitioner is before this Court.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that without going into the merits of the case, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.10.2019 and to pass appropriate orders.

5.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents conceded to the request as submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. The learned counsel would submit that if this Court directs the respondents to consider the dispose of the representations made by the petitioner, the same would be complied with and the representation would be disposed of in accordance with law.

6.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.10.2019, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
