This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash non-compoundable offence given by the girl alleging rape and cheating. 1/4

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks to quash of the case and he submits that the defacto complainant and the accused have subsequently married and the marriage registration certificate dated 21.09.2023 is annexed.

The very genuine of the marriage certificate is also suspect. This Court is of the view that the marriage certificate issued in Periyar Self Respect Marriage Bureau to get over the rigour of the criminal prosecution cannot be looked into in a case of POCSO offences. Hence this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
