This contempt petition has been filed by complaining that the order dated 20.03.2018 passed in W.P.No.6226 of 2018 has not been complied with.

2. The respondent has written a letter to the learned Special Government Pleader to the effect that the petitioner has to pay a sum of Rs.8,937/- + Rs.373/- and immediately, after the amount is paid, the original documents will be released.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has already deposited a sum of Rs.28,405/- and inspite of the same, original documents were not released and therefore, this Court directed the respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner and pass orders within a period of two weeks. The learned counsel further submitted that the petitioner is repeatedly approaching this Court and the petitioner is disputing the amount payable that is now being claimed by the respondent.

Mr.P.S.Sivashanmugasundaram, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent submitted that the respondent has taken into consideration the amount that has already been deposited by the petitioner and the balance amount that requires to be paid has been determined as Rs.8937/- + Rs.373/- and immediately, if the same is paid, the original documents will be released in favour of the petitioner. 5. The learned Special Government Pleader submitted that to that effect, an order has already been passed by the Commissioner of Tirupathur Municipality. The said order is also placed before this Court.

In view of the above developments, the petitioner is directed to either comply with the order passed by the Commissioner of Tirupathur Municipality by depositing the balance amount or if he is aggrieved by the order, he can always challenge the said order in the manner known to law. If the petitioner deposits the amount, the original documents shall be released within a period of 7 days from the date of deposit of the amount.
