This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Tiruvallore for speedy disposal of the case as expeditiously as possible in the C.C.No.353 of 2019 within stipulated time.

2. When the matter is taken up, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) produced a copy of the adjudication Order dated 25.11.2022 in C.C.No.353 of 2019 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Thiruvallur. It is seen from the adjudication Order that out of 17 accused, summons to A1, A3, A6, A7, A14 to A16 have not been served. Despite the case pending from the year 2019, the fact that the summons to these accused have not been served, shows that the police has not taken effective steps for the service of summons on the accused and postponed it further.

3. Therefore, the respondent police is directed to take effective steps to serve summons on the accused for proceeding further with the trial of the matter. The learned Judicial Magistrate is also directed to ensure service of summons to the aforesaid accused by taking effective steps. The trial Court is directed to proceed with the trial of the matter and see to that the case is 2/4

disposed of as expeditiously as possible.

4. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. 07.12.2022 Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non speaking order mpl 3/4
