Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to carryout survey of the lands in survey nos.246/9, 9D, 10, 16 & 20 and survey nos.247/11, 13 & 14 situated in Siruthalaipoondi Village, Valathi Sub-District, Villupuram District on the basis of the registered sale deeds and to issue sub divided patta for the extents mentioned in the sale deeds within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to survey the lands situated in survey nos. 246/9, 9D, 10, 16 & 20 and survey nos.247/11, 13 & 14, in Siruthalaipoondi Village, Valathi Sub-District, Villupuram District, by considering his on-line applications dated 18.03.2020, 17.02.2022 and 27.02.2023.

2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he has got right over the above mentioned property under sale deeds dated 22.11.1982, 23.11.1982, 25.02.1985, 22.08.2012 and 14.11.2019. Later, the petitioner submitted on-line applications on 18.03.2020, 17.02.2022 and 27.02.2023 seeking issuance of separate patta in his name for the above mentioned properties and the same have not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the on-line applications of the petitioner will be considered on its own merits and appropriate orders will be passed.

In view of the above submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the second respondent to consider the on-line applications of the petitioner dated 18.03.2020, 17.02.2022 and 27.02.2023 and pass final orders, after issuing notice to the petitioner, neighboring land owners and other interested parties, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
